Department of Arts and Sciences. Fees
1. Matriculation fee (payable once) $5.00
2. Annual library fee $2.00
3. Tuition fee per annum for graduate course leading to the degrees of M.A.,M.S.,C.E.,E.E.,M.E.,Jur.D.,and Ph.D. $150.00
Where candidates for higher degrees exceed the minimum time limit they may be liable for an additional charge of $40 per annum for each topic pursued by them.
4. Tuition fee per annum for each hour per week of undergraduate courses leading to the degree of B.A. and B.S., and for graduate courses leading to the degree M.Dip. $10.00
5. Late registration fee in the case of students registering for the first term after October 20, or for the second term after February 20, except for courses which do not begin with the terms $2.00
6. Tuition fee for each year of the regular four-year courses in the College of Engineering $150.00
7. Laboratory courses: Material fees:
Mineralogy $5.00
Chemistry 2, 3, 7; Electrical Engineering; Physics, each $10.00
Chemistry, 4 (Assaying) $20.00
Chemistry, except 2, 3, 4, and 7 each $28.00
Deposits to cover breakage of apparatus issued, the amounts paid in excess of breakage to be returned:
Chemistry, 2, 3, 7, each $10.00
Chemistry, except 2, 3, 4, and 7, each $40.00
8. Fee for graduation $10.00
9. Tuition fee for the following special course, not taken by candidates for a degree: Chemistry, Course 4 (Assaying) $40.00
10. In determining tuition fees, three hours of laboratory work in Chemistry, and two hours of laboratory work in other subjects count as one hour.
11. Fee for certificate under the seal of the University $2.00
Department of Law Fees
1. Matriculation fee (payable once) $5.00
2. Annual library fee $3.00
3. Tuition fee per annum for each hour taken per week $10.00
4. Late registration fee in the case of students registering for the first term after October 20, or for the second term after February 20, excepting for courses which do not begin with the terms $2.00
5. Fee for graduation $10.00
6. Tuition fee for course in Patent Law $40.00
7. Fee for certificate under the seal of the University $2.00
Department of Medicine. Fees and Contingent Expenses
1. Matriculation fee (payable once) $5.00
2. Annual library fee $3.00
3. Tuition fee per annum, including all charges for materials $150.00
4. Fee for graduation $10.00
5. Tuition fee per annum for any year repeated once, or for a fifth year $75.00
In addition to the tuition fees for special or repeated laboratory courses, a charge will be made for materials used.
6. Fee for a certificate under the seal of the University $2.00
7. Auditors are admitted to lecture courses for the regular tuition fees, but are not permitted to take active part in the work of the classes, and will not be allowed credit, in a subsequent course of studies leading to a degree, for attendance as auditors. No matriculation or library fee is charged.
No charge will be made in the fees fixed at registration except in case of withdrawal, and then only upon notice in due form, and from the end of the current quarter session, when such withdrawal shall be approved. Applications for the granting of a withdrawal should be made on the prescribed form to be obtained from the Secretary, and will be received only at the end of a quarter session.
Students are urged to purchase their own microscopes, but those who do not care to do so may rent them from the University at the following rates:
Microscope for Histological Laboratory use $3.00
Microscope for Bacteriological, Pathological, and Clinical Microscopy Laboratory use $5.00
