Ten Commandments For Students:
1. Thou shalt have no other than thy lexicon to aid thee in thy translations.
2. Thou shalt not love a schoolgirl, nor bow down thyself to her, nor in any way act the gentlemen toward her, for the Legislature is a jealous Legislature, visiting the punishment of the law upon such as break this commandment.
3. Thou shalt not cut recitations, for the faculty will not hold him guiltless that doeth this evil.
4. Six days shalt thou labor and do seven days’ work.
5. Honor thy professor and thy sub-professor that thy grades may be high in the studies which they give thee.
6. Thou shalt not kill time.
7. Thou shalt not squander thy money on the “merry-go-round.”
8. Thou shalt not forget to return that which thou borrowest of thy neighbor.
9. Thou shall not leave unpaid the bills which thou owest.
10. Thou shall not forget former days and be unmerciful unto the freshman.
