Description: Built by the Hyman Construction Company, there is space for 1083 automobiles on twelve levels, three of which are below ground. Formerly on the square: Welling Hall at 814 22nd Street, named for James Clarke Welling, University President (1871-94). A residence hall for men and student athletes, it was closed in 1970 to make way for the new garage building.
